Event Overview
Course Description: The NASCUS Commercial Lending School is a hybrid program that includes recorded videos, an interactive TEAMs meeting with the instructor, and a 3-day in-person training session. The program is developed for examiners to gain an understanding of the fundamentals of commercial lending, cashflow analysis, trend identification, and a greater understanding of loan underwriting analysis and loan ratings. Students will learn from class instruction and various commercial lending case studies.
Pre-work: Students are required to watch two training videos (45 minutes each) prior to the start of the program and attend the Virtual Session. Access will be assigned prior to the virtual session.
Virtual Session: Students will participate in a 2‑hour TEAMS meeting with the instructor on Monday, July 13, at 2:00 pm ET. The TEAMS meeting link and invitation will be provided after registration.
In‑Person Training: Students will then attend a three‑day in‑person training session at The Rewind Hotel Tapestry Collection by Hilton, located in West Des Moines, Iowa.
Class will run from 8:30 am to 5:00 pm each day (Tuesday, July 21; Wednesday, July 22; and Thursday, July 23).
Travel days for participants are Monday, July 20 and Friday, July 24.
Technology: Students should bring their laptops for all three onsite training days.
Meals: A continental breakfast and lunch will be provided each day of the in-person school.
Space is Limited: There are only 30 total open seats for this event.
