Representing 300 firms, we’re a centre of trust, expertise and collaboration at the heart of financial services. Championing a thriving sector and building a better society. The financial services industry plays a vital and often underappreciated role enabling individuals, families and communities to achieve their ambitions in a safe and sustainable way – through home ownership, starting a new business or saving for retirement. The sector is fundamental to people’s lives, and we are proud to promote the work it is doing to support customers and businesses up and down the country. Whether it’s through innovating for the future, driving economic growth, helping struggling customers amid increases in the cost of living, fighting economic crime or working to finance the net zero transition – the industry is having an overwhelmingly positive effect on the lives of people across the UK and improving the society we live in.

Event Overview

The financial sector flagship event for Economic Crime, the Economic Crime Congress 2026, returns on Thursday 3 December 2026 at the iconic Queen Elizabeth II Centre in London.

Bringing together leaders from government, industry and civil society to turn partnership into progress, our 2026 programme will focus on real-world collaboration from sharing intelligence and disrupting criminal networks to tackling fraud, sanctions breaches and corruption.

The overarching theme of the day will be to bring to life the harms and impact of economic crime, and through sessions and insights from our expert speakers, discuss what needs to be done to build a better society and community, domestically and globally.

Our 2025 event brought together over 550 senior leaders. Tackling economic crime requires a united approach, with collaboration across government, regulators, law enforcement, financial services, technology and telecommunications firms and consumer groups.

ECC 2026 will feature even more high-profile speakers, interactive discussions, and practical solutions for tackling Economic Crime across financial crime, corruption, sanctions, fraud and intelligence.
