Admissions Ceremony, 26 June 2026

Our admissions ceremonies are open to all solicitors admitted to the roll in England and Wales. There is no time limit to attend. Book your ceremony once you are admitted and celebrate your success entering the profession in the historic Law Society’s Hall.

The Law Society admissions ceremony will take place at the Law Society in London where you’ll be presented to either the president of the Law Society, Mark Evans, or one of our office holders: our vice president, Brett Dixon, or our deputy vice president, Dana Denis-Smith.

From May 2026, we’re introducing a more flexible way to book tickets for our ceremonies. Your main ticket will be for just your attendance on the day, giving you more choice over how many guests you bring. You can purchase up to four guest tickets after you have completed the steps in your confirmation email. And if you’d like to invite even more people to celebrate with you, reception only tickets will also be available (subject to availability), allowing additional guests to join you for photographs and the reception.

The ceremony will be live streamed on the Law Society’s YouTube channel for any guests not able to attend the ceremony and the recording will be available for a limited time afterwards. This is a private recording and access will be given to you by direct link on the understanding that the link will not be shared publicly and that no part of the recording or any still images taken from the recording will be shared on social media or in any other public forum.

Please note: Before booking your place, you must be admitted to the profession in England and Wales. If you have booked a ceremony and are not admitted at the time of booking, the Law Society will cancel and refund your place minus an administration fee.
